Amidst various arrangements, the Recovery Milan Mela-2025 was held at the Ahsania Mission Drug Addiction Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, an affiliated organization of the Dhaka Ahsania Mission Health Sector located in Gazariapara, Rajendrapur, Gazipur. The day-long 'Recovery Milan Mela' was held from 10 am on Monday.

The program was presided over by Iqbal Masud, Director of the Dhaka Ahsania Mission Health and WASH Sector, and Md. Masud Hossain, PPA, Director of the Narcotics Control Department (Prohibition, Education, Research and Publication Branch) was present as the chief guest. Also present as guests were Shahin Mahmud, Assistant Director of Narcotics Control Department, Gazipur, Chabader Hasan, former councilor of Ward No. 22 of Gazipur City Corporation, Dr. Naila Parveen, Assistant Director (Medical Services) of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Health Sector, and Alhaj Kafil Uddin Jihadi, a social worker.

The speakers said that in the last 20 years, the center has become a beacon of light for countless individuals and families struggling with the devastating effects of drug abuse. Through our holistic treatment approach, not only necessary care and medical services are provided, but also education is provided to develop their skills.

The speakers also said that this center provides 6-month treatment services to three types of patients, namely drug dependent, behavioral and mental disorders. In addition, clients who complete the full-term treatment will be able to receive 3-month treatment services as review clients if they relapse later. Those who have received full-term treatment and are still healthy are getting free accommodation, food and counseling services from the center for a maximum of 12 days a year. The center provides medical services in a modern and scientific manner.

The program was moderated by Rakhi Ganguly, Senior Psychologist of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Health Sector, and was attended by various levels of officials and employees of Dhaka Ahsania Mission, officials and employees of Ahsania Mission Drug Addiction Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, and about a hundred recoveries and their parents.
