A discussion meeting titled "What we can do to increase student attendance in educational institutions" was held with the heads of secondary and higher secondary educational institutions in Goalando Upazila of Rajbari.
A discussion meeting was organized at the auditorium of Government Goalando Kamrul Islam College on Saturday (May 17) afternoon. The chief guest at the event was Professor Fakir Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Director of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Dhaka Region.
Abdul Kader Sheikh, principal of Goalanda Rabeya Idris Women's Degree College, one of the organizers of the program, delivered the opening speech at the beginning of the program, moderated by Masud Parvez, senior lecturer of the Commerce Department of Government Goalanda Kamrul Islam College, and Salma Sultana, lecturer of the Home Economics Department of Rabeya Idris Women's College.
The program was presided over by the acting principal of Government Goalando Kamrul Islam College, Shamsunnahar Siddika Jolly. Among others, Rajbari District Secondary Education Officer Md. Habibur Rahman, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Jayanta Kumar Das, Abdul Halim Mia College Principal and Professor Fakir Mohammad Nuruzzaman's wife Bilkis Akhter, General Secretary of the Teachers' Council of Government Goalanda Kamrul Islam College, Nazir Hossain Molla, prominent social worker Alauddin Molla, etc. were present at the event.
The heads of all secondary and higher secondary educational institutions of Goalanda Upazila were present at the event. At that time, the heads of secondary and higher secondary educational institutions of Goalando Upazila presented the problems of their institutions to Professor Fakir Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Director of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Dhaka Region. The chief guest also urged the teachers present to pay special attention to their educational institutions and be more careful towards the students.
