Fish feed distributed among flood-affected marginal farmers in Begumganj

Under the revenue budget of the Department of Fisheries, fish feed has been distributed among flood-affected marginal farmers in Begumganj.on Wednesday afternoon.
Marginal farmers received fish feed from the office of the Senior Fisheries Officer in Begumganj. In the second phase, a total of 1,538 kg of fish feed was distributed among 61 recipients.
The event was attended by Begumganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Arifur Rahman as the chief guest. The program was presided over by Senior Fisheries Officer Masuma Akter. Also present were marginal fish farmers along with officials and staff from various levels.
Talking to journalists, the fisheries officer said that the government has extended its helping hand to compensate the marginal fish farmers affected by the flood. In this regard, fish feed was distributed today in the second phase among 61 flood-affected marginal farmers. She also expressed her commitment to support all marginal farmers in every possible way according to their needs in order to bring about a fisheries revolution in Begumganj Upazila.
