Human chain in Gafargaon demanding trial of those guilty in attempted murder of Emon

A human chain program has been held demanding trial of Awami fascists and their accomplices in the attack on Gafargaon Municipal Swechchhasebak Dal convener Md. Mahbubul Islam Emon with the intention of shooting and stabbing him.
On Sunday , the human chain was held in front of the Gafargaon Press Club under the banner of the Upazila and Municipal Swechchhasebak Dal and the public at all levels. In addition to the leaders and activists of the Volunteers' Party, leaders and activists of local BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and other allied organizations participated in it.
The speakers at the human chain said that during the anti-democratic fascist Awami League regime, there have been continuous attacks, cases and torture on the leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates in different parts of the country.
Although a planned assassination attempt was made on the convener of the Municipal Volunteer Party, Md. Mahbubul Islam Emon, on May 24, 2022, the attackers have not been brought to justice to this day.
The trial process has not started. Those miscreants are still roaming around openly.
The speakers also said that all these identified terrorists and Awami League goons should be arrested and given exemplary punishment.
Former municipal BNP convener Fazlul Haque, former upazila BNP joint convener Shahidur Rahman, former municipal BNP joint convener Mizanur Rahman Paltan, Abu Sayem, former police station BNP member Dr. Mahbubul Alam Mohan, former municipal BNP member Joynal Abedin Chanu, Susan Khandaker, Pagla Thana Volunteer Party joint convener Nabi Hossain, Municipal Volunteer Party joint convener Kamruzzaman Sohel, Asadul Haque Sabuj, former Municipal Chhatra Dal president Abdur Razzak, Upazila JASAS Convener Zahirul Islam, joint convener Samad Ahmed, Municipal JASAS Convener Rustom, Municipal BNP leader Emdadul Haque, Mozammel Hossain, and others spoke at the human chain.
Mahbubul Islam Emon, convener of the persecuted Municipal Swechchhasebak Dal , said, "I was attacked by identified terrorists, friends of Awami fascists, with the intention of killing me. In broad daylight, they hacked me with a ramda and shot me 7 times with a firearm and left me on the road, thinking me dead. A human chain and protest were held demanding exemplary punishment for this incident.
After the human chain, a memorandum was submitted to the Home Affairs Advisor through the Upazila Nirbahi Officer demanding exemplary punishment for bringing the attackers under the law.
