52 candidates will compete for one seat in admission test at HSTU

The application process for the undergraduate first year (honours) admission test for the 2025-26 academic year at Dinajpur Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology (HSTU) has ended.
This year, a total of 94,375 applications have been submitted to the university's 4 units. With 1,795 applications, an average of 52 students will compete for one seat.
Habib University Public Relations Department Director Md. Khademul Islam confirmed this information on Tuesday afternoon. He said that the university's ICT Center confirmed this information to him.
According to ICT Center sources, the application process for HSTU admission test started at 4 pm on November 16 last year and applications were accepted until 11:59 pm on December 24.
In the current academic year, out of a total of 94,375 applications in 4 units, 30,275 have applied for 'A' unit. About 56 candidates are competing for each seat against 535 seats in this unit. A total of 26,812 applications have been received in 'B' unit, where the number of competitors against 740 seats stands at about 37. In the architecture department of the branch-based 'B' unit, 41 candidates are competing for each seat against 30 seats.
On the other hand, a total of 9,191 applications have been submitted in 'C' unit. 32 candidates are competing against 280 seats in this unit. Branch-wise, about 43 candidates are fighting for each seat in both science and non-science branches.
Apart from this, a total of 27,097 applications have been received in 'D' unit. In this unit, 112 candidates are competing for each seat against 240 seats, which is the highest among the 4 units.
It is mentioned that the source confirmed that the admission test for 4 units will be held on the university campus for 3 days on January 26, 27 and 28.
