7 robbers arrested in connection with robbery, murder in Madhavadi

The district police have arrested 7 robbers in connection with the robbery at the house of Milan Mia in Madhabdi Balabhadradi village of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila. Narsingdi Police Superintendent Abdullah-Al-Farooq spoke at a press briefing at a press conference organized at the Narsingdi Police Superintendent's office on the afternoon of July 28.
Police said that on the early morning of July 18, a group of 9/10 robbers robbed the house of Milan Mia in Balabhadradi village of Nuralapur union of Narsingdi Sadar police station and looted cash and gold ornaments worth Tk 4 lakh. While trying to stop the robbers, Milan Mia's elder brother Shahjahan Mia was killed by the robbers. Uncle Md. Suruj Mia was injured. Police conducted raids at various places through information technology and arrested the mentioned robbers.
Police Inspector (Investigation) Mohammad Ullah Faisal said that several members of the arrested gang were previously accused in the robbery case that took place on 11/07/2016 in Kharia area of Kathalia Union of Madhabdi Police Station (Case No. 18, Date: 11/07/2026; Investigating Officer: SI/Abdul Barek Howlader) and the Diganta murder case that took place on 28/07/2026 in Kotwalichar area of Paikarchar Union of Madhabdi Police Station (Case No. 32, Date: 30/06/2026; Investigating Officer: SI/Shahin).
The arrested robbers are: Ashiq Ahmed (23), father- Shahjahan Mia, Zubayer Hossain (20), father- Hasan Ali, Md. Faruk Mia (30), .Md. Sujan Mia (25), Mozahid Rahman Apu (22) and Roman (28).
