ACC public hearing in Joypurhat in presence of Chairman

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) heard direct complaints from deprived and harassed citizens of Joypurhat district with the slogan 'We will stop corruption, we will build the country, we will make Bangladesh a golden country'.
The public hearing was held at the District Shilpakala Auditorium at 9 am on Monday (August 11) under the auspices of the Anti-Corruption Commission and the District Corruption Prevention Committee and in collaboration with the district administration. Out of 72 complaints against 35 organizations, 106 people presented their complaints at the public hearing.
Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen was present as the chief guest at the public hearing held under the chairmanship and moderated by Joypurhat Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury.
Among others present were Anti-Corruption Commission Director General (Prevention and Public Awareness) Md. Akhter Hossain, Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner
Director Md. Fazlul Haque, Joypurhat Police Superintendent Muhammad Abdul Wahab, ACC Integrated District Office, Naogaon Deputy Director, Syed Nazrul Islam, heads of all government departments, public representatives and prominent citizens of civil society.
In the public hearing, the aggrieved public, who were harassed while receiving services from various government offices and deprived of services, presented their complaints before the ACC's senior officials in the presence of all the heads of government offices in Joypurhat Sadar. At the same time, an immediate decision was taken by the ACC on the complaints raised by the deprived public.
