Alif Uddin Rubel gets July National Special Honour

Alif Uddin Rubel, former Vice President of the Chattogram Metropolitan Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) and a prominent participant in the July movement, has been awarded the "July National Special Honour" in recognition of his courageous contribution to the anti-autocracy student-public uprising.
The honour was presented by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman at a ceremony held in Dhaka on Saturday.
Rubel received the commemorative award in recognition of his bravery, sacrifice, and significant role in the movement for the restoration of democracy.
During the July movement, Alif Uddin Rubel played an active role in the protests on the streets of Chattogram. His participation in various demonstrations and his contribution to the struggle against authoritarian rule earned him this prestigious recognition.
Following the announcement of the award, political colleagues, well-wishers, and people from different walks of life extended their congratulations and best wishes to him.
After receiving the honour, Rubel said, "This recognition is not my personal achievement. I dedicate it to every brave student and citizen who took part in the July movement, as well as to the families of the martyrs and the injured fighters. Their sacrifice paved the way for the movement to restore democracy."
He added, "I will continue to stand with the people and work for the establishment of democracy, justice, and the rights of the people in the days ahead."
