
American Army, Air Force train Fire Service personnel in Cox's Bazar

Members of the American Army and Air Force have provided training to Cox’s Bazar Fire Service personnel on rescue operations for victims affected by floods, tidal surges, and cyclones.
The training, which began on May 18, concluded on Wednesday (May 21). The four-day training program took place at the parasailing point adjacent to Daryanagar on Cox’s Bazar sea beach. The information was confirmed by Md. Tanharul Islam, Assistant Director of Cox’s Bazar Fire Service and Civil Defense.
He said, with the cooperation of the American Embassy, the American Army and Air Force conducted this training for the officers and personnel of Bangladesh Fire Service. On Wednesday, certificates were distributed among the participants by the trainers. A total of 15 officers and firefighters from Cox’s Bazar took part in this training.”
Tanharul Islam added, this training was arranged under the instructions of higher authorities. Following the conclusion of the program, the American Army and Air Force members departed from Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday.
