
BSF pushes 73 people into Bangladesh through 3 districts

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) pushed 73 people, including women and children, into Bangladesh through borders in Feni, Cumilla and Lalmonirhat districts early Thursday.
Of them, 39 were pushed into Feni, 13 into Cumilla and 21 into Lalmonirhat.
Lt Col Md Mosharraf Hossain, commandant of the BGB-4 Battalion in Feni, said the BSF pushed 39 people into Feni through Sonagazi, Fulgazi and Chhagalnaiya borders from 12:30am to 6am on Thursday.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Fulgazi police station Mohamad Lutfor Rahman said they took 27 people into their custody from BGB and brought it to the notice of the higher authorities.
Chhagalnaiya OC Nazrul Islam said 12 detainees were handed over to them through Upazila Nirbahi Officer by BGB.
In Cumilla, Commandant of BGB-10 Lt Col Mir Ali Azaz said a total of 13 people were pushed into Bangladesh through Cumilla Sadar upazila border around 4am.
The detainees included three men and women and seven children, he said.
In Lalmonirhat, BSF pushed 21 people into the country through Sadar upazila border early in the morning.
Lt Col Sheikh Md Baduzzaman, commandant of the BGB-56 Battalion, said the detainees were handed over to the local administration in the afternoon.
Sadar police station’s OC Abdullahil Zaman said the children were kept at the Safe Home under the Social Service office.
