
Cleanliness drive conducted by Coast Guard in St. Martin’s Island

Bangladesh Coast Guard has carried out a cleanliness drive on Saint Martin’s Island on Monday afternoon.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque shared the information through a press release on Monday.
The press release stated that since its inception, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has been working tirelessly to ensure overall security and maintain law and order in coastal and riverside areas, as well as to control environmental pollution.
As part of that initiative, a cleanliness drive was conducted on Saint Martin’s Island in Cox’s Bazar from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday.
The drive was led by the Coast Guard ship Tajuddin and was joined spontaneously by Coast Guard personnel, teachers and students of Saint Martin BN Islamic School and College, local public representatives, and general citizens.
The Coast Guard has pledged to continue such initiatives in the future to preserve the environment of the country’s only coral island, Saint Martin’s.
