Eminent poet and philosopher Farhad Mazhar said that Abu Sayeed, disregarding his own life, exposed his chest to bullets. Martyr Abu Sayeed has entered an indestructible life. He called Abu Sayeed's sacrifice an important political and philosophical event in the country's history.

On Thursday  noon, at a discussion titled 'Conversation of Mass Uprisings' in the virtual classroom of the university's Academic Building-2, prominent statesman, writer and human rights activist Farhad Mazhar said these things. He also said that Abu Sayeed had an intention or desire. This intention was not for himself but for the collective, which he wanted to see implemented. This collective intention was a mass uprising. Due to Abu Sayeed's self-sacrifice, his name will be discussed not only in Bangladesh but all over the world. Addressing the students of Begum Rokeya University, Farhad Mazhar said, "If we want to gain a strong place in the world assembly, we have to reach a much higher level in the intellectual field."

In the discussion meeting, Berobi Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali said, "The image of Shaheed Abu Sayeed with his hands outstretched in front of death is rare in the history of the world." He said, "Shaheed Abu Sayeed's work and thoughts will remain immortal all over the world." The Vice Chancellor also said, "Everyone must remain united by embracing the spirit of the July Uprising." He also expressed hope that this university of Shaheed Abu Sayeed will occupy the seat of the best university in the country in the coming days."

In the discussion meeting, the university's registrar Dr. Md. Harun-or Rashid and the director of the Student Counseling and Guidance Office, Professor Dr. Md. Ilias Pramanik spoke about the July-August uprising of last year. At that time, the university's proctor Dr. Md. Ferdous Rahman, teachers and students from various departments and other concerned persons were present.
