Saiful Shek of Batikamari village in Muksudpur upazila, after divorcing his wife Rozina Begum, took a bath with milk in front of the Dargah Sharif in Khandkarpara, Batikamari village, at 9:30 am on Saturday. A sensational atmosphere has been created in the area over the incident.
It is learnt that Saiful Sheikh, son of Billal Sheikh of Batikamari village of Batikamari union of Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district, married Rozina Begum, daughter of Adam Ali of Chhota Muchkunni village of Bhanga upazila of neighboring Faridpur district, in October 2014. In the meantime, a son was born in their family. His name is Minhaj Sheikh, age 10 years. In the happy family, there has been a long-standing separation between the husband and wife over trivial matters. On July 19, 2025, wife Rozina Begum husband Saiful A complaint was filed at Muksudpur Police Station in the name of Shek, his mother-in-law Rina Begum, Nanda Iti Begum and Bithi Begum.
In continuation of that, on August 15, at 4:30 pm, at Ohid Kazi's Hotel in Tengrakhola Bazar (in front of Muksudpur Police Station), in the presence of local dignitaries from both sides, the open divorce (divorce) was completed by paying a dowry of 5.5 lakh taka to his wife Rozina Begum. When talking to Muksudpur Police Station SI Abul Kalam Azad, the investigating officer of the complaint, he said that a compromise was submitted to him by both sides.
