Fire Service, Civil Defense Week. inaugurated in Palashbari

The inaugural ceremony and discussion meeting were held in Palashbari on the occasion of Fire Service and Civil Defense Week-2026.
The discussion meeting was held at Palashbari Fire Service and Civil Defense Station on Tuesday afternoon with the theme “Commitment to Prevention, Awareness to Protect Safe Lives and Property”.
Gaibandha-3 (Palashbari-Sadullapur) MP Nazrul Islam Lebu was present as the chief guest at the event. In his speech, he said that the fire service members are performing their duties with great courage in preventing fires and disasters. The fire service has gained the trust of the people by increasing public awareness and providing quick service.
Palashbari UNO Sheikh Jaber Ahmed presided over the meeting. He said that along with government institutions, the general public should also be aware of fire and any disaster. It is possible to build a safe society with the combined efforts of everyone.
Palashbari Upazila BNP President A.S. Samad Mondal, Palashbari Press Club President Shah Alam Sarkar and Fire Service Officer Rabiul Islam spoke as special guests.
At the end of the discussion meeting, various awareness aspects regarding fire extinguishing and rescue activities were highlighted by the Fire Service.
