Free seeds, fertilizers, saplings distributed among marginal farmers in Kapasia

Saplings, seeds, fertilizers and various materials of various indigenous fruit and medicinal plants have been distributed in Kapasia, Gazipur under the Agricultural Rehabilitation Support Sector Incentive Program in the financial year 2024-25.
On Tuesday morning, free palm saplings and fences were officially distributed at the Upazila Agriculture Officer's office premises.
UNO Dr. Tamanna Tasneem was present as the chief guest at the sapling distribution ceremony organized by the Upazila Agriculture Office. Under the overall management of Upazila Agriculture Officer, Agriculturist Suman Kumar Basak, Additional Agriculture Officer Shakil Ahmed, Agricultural Extension Officer Suraiya Akhter, Kapasia Press Club President FM Kamal Hossain and teachers of various educational institutions were present, among others.
Earlier, under the agricultural incentive program at various levels, free Ufasi variety Aman rice seeds and fertilizer were distributed among 2,000 small and marginal farmers, 2,000 coconut seedlings of 5 each among 400 farmers, 800 coconut seedlings to various educational institutions, 2,000 lemon seedlings and organic fertilizer to 2,000 farmers, 3,000 date palm seedlings to various institutions, various vegetable seeds and fertilizers to 2,000 farmers, 2,500 neem, bel, jackfruit and jam seedlings to 1,000 students of 25 educational institutions, and a total of 6,500 mango seedlings of 5 each among 1,300 farmers.
