Freedom fighter threatened to murder after grill cut, gold ornaments looted in Dohar

In Dohar, in the dead of night, miscreants cut the grill and entered the house of a valiant freedom fighter, threatened to kill him, and looted gold ornaments. Upon receiving the news, police visited the spot in the morning and collected evidence of the robbery.
The incident took place late Sunday night at the house of valiant freedom fighter Abul Kalam Azad Khalashi (72) in Uttar Shimulia village of the upazila.
It is learnt that by cutting the grill of the window on the ground floor of the two-storey building, they entered the house and opened the main door of the room to let the rest of the robbers in. At that time, by threatening to kill the head of the house, the valiant freedom fighter, within 10 minutes they looted 30 vori of gold ornaments, two new knives kept in the kitchen, and a four and a half feet long sword kept in the display of the room, then opened the door and fled.
Speaking to the victim valiant freedom fighter Abul Kalam Azad, it was learned that he was sleeping on the ground floor of his two-storey house with his wife Nasima Azad (58). Around 4 in the morning, I suddenly woke up hearing a noise.
At that time someone was sitting on top of my body in my bedroom. Realizing something was happening in the house, I tried to resist but failed. Four strong-bodied masked members of the gang climbed onto my body and subdued me by holding a knife to my throat. At that time they threatened to kill me and warned me for the last time. At that time the robbers removed the gold chain from my wife’s neck, a pair of earrings from her ears, and gold bangles from her hands at knifepoint. The robbers repeatedly asked about my licensed gun in the almirah. By threatening to kill me, they opened the almirah and took a total of 30 vori of gold ornaments kept in a tin box belonging to my daughter and daughter-in-law, two new knives kept in the kitchen, and a four and a half feet long sword kept in the display of the room, then opened the door and fled.
In this regard, Dohar Police Station OC Md. Hasan Ali said, by cutting the grill of the building’s window, they entered inside, threatened to kill the head of the house, and looted the gold ornaments. We have been able to recover several pieces of evidence of the robbery. With the help of information technology and by reviewing the house’s CC footage, the real culprits will be arrested.
