
Human chain demanding unconditional withdrawal of reinstatement of teacher Manibul Basunia in Rajarhat

A protest march and human chain were held in Rajarhat, Kurigram, demanding the unconditional reinstatement of assistant teacher Monibul Haque Basunia, who was recently suspended for posting on social media Facebook. A protest march took out at 3 pm on Wednesday and after parading the main roads of the upazila town, gathered in a human chain at Sonali Bank premises.
The human chain speakers spoke demanding the unconditional withdrawal of the temporary suspension under the black law called ICT against Abul Kashem Government Primary School assistant teacher and senior joint secretary of the Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association, a frontline fighter of the 24th mass uprising, Monibul Haque Basunia. The speakers announced a nationwide program if the temporary suspension is not withdrawn immediately and unconditionally.
The human chain organized under the banner of people from all walks of life in Rajarhat Upazila was addressed by Head Teacher Saifur Rahman Mandal, teachers Rashedul Islam Rashed, Raihan Raju, social workers Md. Nur Islam, Matiur Rahman, and others.
