A storm of protests has erupted in Jamalpur over the murder of journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin in Gazipur. On this occasion, journalists working in the district have taken up various programs. The programs of the journalists are mentioned below.

The District Press Club has organized a journalist rally in Jamalpur demanding a speedy trial for the murderers of Daily Pratidin Kagoj staff reporter Asaduzzaman Tuhin.

 District Press Club President Fazle Elahi Makam (Bangladesh/SATV) presided over the rally on the ground floor of Tamaltala Municipal Supermarket on Sunday  afternoon. 

Speakers included veteran journalist Utpal Kanti Dhar (Sangbad), editor of Ajker Jamalpur M. A. Jalil, former president of the Socheton Nagorik Committee Ajay Kumar Pal, general secretary of the language and freedom fighter Moti Mia Foundation AKM Ashrafuzzaman Swadhin, Ad. Yusuf Ali (Amardesh), Mukul Rana (Dinkal), Shah Jamal (New Nation/Ittefaq), Shaheen Al Amin (Ittefaq/Ganajoy), District Press Club General Secretary Shuvro Mehedi (Bangladesh Pratidin/DBC News), Solaiman Hossain Horek (Samakal), Liaquat Hossain Lion (JaiJaidin/71 TV), Shamim Alam (MyTV), Mostaq Ahmed Monir (Asian TV), Juel Rana (Ekhon TV), Asmaul Asif (NTV/ Khaborer Kagoj), Fazlul Karim Kawsar (Bangla TV), Khandaker Raju Ahmed (ETV), Mohammad Ali, editor of the weekly Muktakal, among others.

Press Club President Hafiz Rayhan Sada (Channel I) presided over the meeting. Speeches were General secretatry lutfar Rahman (ATN BANGLA), Kafi Parvez (mananbkantha, Bazlur Rahman (UNB), Monjorol kobir (protidiner sangbad), mostofa monjo (banglar chithi) and others.

The Journalists' Association of Melandah has organized a protest meeting and a forest bandh. The meeting organized by the Journalists' Association was chaired by Reporters Unity President and Ittefaq/New Nation correspondent Shah Jamal.

Speakers included 71's guerrilla Abul Hossain, Upazila Press Club General Editor Nahid Hasan (NTV), Mottasim Billah (Dhaka Post), J.U.P. Journalists' Association President Miraj Hasan (Channel 24), Nazrul Islam (Kalbela), Dilrubaiyasmin Ruma (Manabzamin), Muslehuddin (News2Day) and others.

Journalist GM Fatiul Islam Babu, journalist and poet Ashraful Haider, among others, spoke at a similar program at the Bakshiganj Upazila Press Club.

Special prayers were offered at the Islampur Press Club for the repose of the soul of the slain journalist Tuhin. After this, the journalist community went on strike.

The meeting, chaired by Press Club President Morad Hasan, was addressed by General Editor Hafiz Liton and journalist Firoz Lohani. Dewanganj journalists also followed a similar agenda.

Madargonj Press Club organized a Humen chain demanding journalist tuhins killer. mirza homayon kobir, bojlo khan, julfikar bablo among others speaks them.
