Man held with heroin in Naogaon

Police arrested a man with five grams of heroin during a special anti-narcotics drive in Manda upazila of Naogaon on Tuesday.
The arrestee was identified as Taiful Islam, 37, son of Kasem, a resident of Manda Sadar Union.
Md Mansur Rahman, OC of Manda Police Station, said police recovered the heroin from Taiful's residence in Chakmanasub village around 4:00pm.
He added that Taiful had been involved in drug peddling for a long time and had multiple cases pending against him.
According to police, the seized heroin has an estimated market value of Tk 50,000.
A case is being filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act, the OC said.
