Overall security of DU campus ensured, needs everyone's cooperation : DU VC

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan has sought the cooperation of all concerned, including teachers, students, officers and employees, to ensure the overall security of the university campus.
The Vice Chancellor sought this cooperation in a meeting with representatives of the Dhaka University Officers Association, Employees Association, Technical Employees Association and 4th Class Employees Union in the Vice Chancellor's meeting room on Sunday.
At this time, Dhaka University Proctor Associate Prof Saifuddin Ahmed, Acting Registrar Munshi Shams Uddin Ahmed, and leaders of the Officers Association, Employees Association, Technical Employees Association, and 4th Class Employees Union were present.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan said, "The university administration is determined to ensure overall security of the campus in view of the upcoming DUCSU elections. In ensuring campus security, the concerned officers and employees must perform their duties with dedication and sincerity. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard."
The meeting discussed the formation of a security coordination committee comprising representatives of the Officers' Association, Employees' Association and welfare associations of various residential areas. The meeting informed that if anyone is found to be involved in subversive activities on campus or if they provide shelter to those involved in subversive activities, strict disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned officer and employee.
