Staff Correspondent
Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) has got approval for its Strategic Plan for 2025-2030 aimed at accelerating inclusive growth and ensuring sustainable development for the underprivileged and low-income population of the country.
The approval came during the 260th meeting of the Governing Body held at the PKSF Bhaban in the capital on Sunday, according to a press release.
The meeting acknowledged that while PKSF's development initiatives have received appreciation both domestically and internationally, the evolving socio-economic, technological, and poverty-related landscapes necessitate a fresh strategic approach.
In response, the new plan outlines a comprehensive roadmap for sustainable poverty alleviation and inclusive progress.
Under the plan, PKSF has proposed a loan disbursement target of Tk 11,000 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26, up from Tk 9,340 crore disbursed in the outgoing fiscal year 2024-25.
The increased funding is expected to enable PKSF’s Partner Organizations (POs) to expand their outreach and serve grassroots communities more effectively.
The Governing Body approved the proposal and recommended placing it before the General Body for final endorsement.
Later in the day, the 14th General Body meeting of PKSF ratified the Strategic Plan.
The General Body also approved a revised budget of Tk 10,337 crore for FY 2024-25 and a projected total budget of Tk 12,346 crore for FY 2025-26.
Both meetings were presided over by PKSF Chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan.
PKSF Managing Director Md Fazlul Kader and Governing Body Members Shahid Akhtar Hossain, Nurun Nahar, Farzanah Chowdhury, Prof Dr Md Taufiqul Islam, and Lila Rashid, PhD, were in attendance, along with all members of the general body.
