As part of the central program, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Lalmonirhat town and Sadar upazila organized a discussion meeting and doa mahfil in memory of the brothers and sisters who were martyred, injured and disabled in the 2024 mass uprising on Tuesday.
The chief guest was Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s central Majlis-e-Shura member and Lalmonirhat district Ameer Advocate Abu Taher.
At the beginning of his speech, the chief guest solemnly remembered the brothers and sisters who were martyred, injured and disabled in the July-August/24 mass uprising and prayed for their forgiveness.
In his speech, the chief guest said that the consciousness with which the July-August/24 mass uprising took place should be upheld to build the Bangladesh of the future. To give the true honor to the martyrs, the July Charter must be implemented quickly. To build an egalitarian and humane Bangladesh, the July revolution must be utilized.
All Jamaat leaders and activists must work to bring the true benefits of the July revolution to every person in villages and towns.
The discussion meeting and doa mahfil was presided over by Lalmonirhat district Jamaat’s working committee member and Lalmonirhat town Ameer Maulana Zainal Abedin.
Also present were Lalmonirhat district Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman, district Jamaat assistant secretary Hafez Shah Alam, district Jamaat office secretary Maulana Afifullah Belal,
Lalmonirhat-3 (Sadar) constituency’s (potential) Member of Parliament candidate, former student leader Lecturer Harun Or Rashid, Lalmonirhat Sadar upazila Jamaat Ameer Lecturer Mahibur Rahman and others.
At the end of the discussion, a Doa Mahfil was conducted by district Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman.
