In Goalanda, Rajbari, awards were distributed among 35 highest-ranking students from 14 educational institutions in Goalanda Upazila at the secondary and higher secondary, Dakhil and vocational levels under the Performance Based Grants for Secondary Institutions Scheme, SEDP, Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Education project by the Government of Bangladesh.
The award distribution was held at the conference room of the Upazila Model Mosque and Cultural Center on Monday at 10 am.
The award distribution ceremony, organized by the Upazila Secondary Education Office and the District Education Office, was presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nahidur Rahman and was attended by the Director of Secondary and Higher Education, Dhaka Region, Professor Fakir Mohammad Nuruzzaman as the chief guest.
Present as special guests were Md. Shawkat Hossain, Deputy Director, Maushi, Dhaka, Rajbari District Education Officer Md. Habibur Rahman, Goalanda Government Kamrul Islam College Chairman (Acting) Shamshun Nahar Siddika, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Jayanta Kumar Das, officials of various upazila departments, heads of educational institutions, students and guardians.
At the award ceremony, 35 college and secondary school students were awarded cash prizes of 6.35 lakh taka, certificates and crests of honour.
