A grand reception and educational material distribution ceremony was held in Baghaichhari Upazila to mark the auspicious arrival of the leaders of the newly formed committee of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Rangamati District Branch.

The event was jointly organized by the Upazila, Municipality, and College branches of Chhatra Dal at the Baghaichhari Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Wednesday.

Prior to the commencement of the program, a massive rally brought out from the Model Town area paraded the main streets of the upazila before assembling at the auditorium.

Md. Oli Ahad, President of Rangamati District Chhatra Dal, attended the function as the chief guest, while Naimul Islam Roni, General Secretary of the district unit, delivered the keynote speech.

The program was presided over by Md. Humayun Rashid, Convenor of Baghaichhari Upazila Chhatra Dal, and conducted by its Member Secretary, Nurul Islam Jinnat. Md. Khairul Islam Rana, Senior Vice-President of District Chhatra Dal, Organizational Secretary Md. Galib Hassan, Vice-Presidents Abdus Salam and Md. Ishak, and Joint General Secretary Md. Hasan Imran were present as special guests.

Among others, Municipal Chhatra Dal Convenor Md. Yunus Manik, Member Secretary Md. Sohel Rana, Kachalong Government College Chhatra Dal President Habibur Rahman Tarek, and General Secretary Md. Naim Uddin, along with local leaders and activists, were also present.

Speaking at the event, the leaders emphasized that the core foundation of Chhatra Dal relies on 'Education, Unity, and Progress.' They expressed optimism that the newly formed committee would play a pivotal role in making Chhatra Dal more well-organized, dynamic, and student-friendly across every unit of the Rangamati district.

Expressing intense anger and deep concern, the speakers stated, "A vested and conspiratorial quarter is orchestrating a nationwide propaganda campaign for political gains, claiming that the BNP does not honor the 'July Charter' and lacks the goodwill to implement it. Such propaganda is entirely false, baseless, and politically motivated."

Issuing a stern warning to the propagandists, the speakers added, "The contributions and sacrifices of Chhatra Dal and BNP leaders and activists in the anti-fascist July mass uprising are unparalleled. Countless of our leaders and activists have embraced martyrdom, suffered permanent disabilities, and endured years of persecution in this movement. This historic revolution is not the personal property of any single party, opinion, or group; it is the collectively earned right of the students and people from all walks of life."

Referring to the country's current state of affairs, they asserted, "Therefore, refrain from spreading any further misleading and provocative information regarding the July movement among general students and the public.

Following the reception, the guests distributed educational materials among the local general students.
