Shamim Haider Patwary in Rangpur : Bangladesh become mob state

Rangpur Bureau

Jatiya Party's newly appointed Secretary General Barrister Shamim Haider Patwary said, “Bangladesh has become a mob state. This is a very shameful matter for the state. The government is not able to control the mob system in the country. And the mob is winning again and again.

This is very shameful as a state. We were not known as a Hindu nation. We had our own harmony and tradition. But in the mob incident, that tradition and harmony are being destroyed due to the fear of the mob.”

He told reporters at the Skyview residence in Senpara, Rangpur city, the ancestral home of Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader, on Sunday afternoon.

The Jatiya Party Secretary General said that the current government has mentioned the names of top NCP leaders as appointees more than once. Those appointees have formed a political party. The head of that party was a minister of the country. His colleagues are still ministers. If the election is held under this government, it will not be neutral. This government has a close relationship with the NCP. The entire country's administration has been arranged according to the NCP's plan. Therefore, if there is an election here, it is universally accepted that the government will try to give multiple benefits to the NCP or the Kings Party. We think that the government has lost its primary neutrality for a neutral election. The government has not acquired the ability or power to hold elections or did not want to do so. The government does not have the will to achieve that ability. Due to the current government's lack of election-oriented steps, frustration is increasing among political parties. There is no control from the top to the grassroots in the country. Now the country has become a vengeful state, a political solution is needed. He said, the leaders and activists of the Jatiya Party are not involved in extortion, land grabbing and terrorism. For this, the people will give us a chance. People were safe with the Jatiya Party at that time.

Shamim Haider Patwari said, the Jatiya Party Chairman has spoken for the people in the last 10 months. Jatiya Party leaders and activists have been protesting in different parts of the country including Savar and Rangpur. Despite actively participating in the movement to overthrow the government, we were not called for the reform process. The house of the Jatiya Party chairman was set on fire. The government is walking on the wrong path.

Regarding the Jatiya Party, he said that calling a council without a chairman is undemocratic, illegal and unstructured. On June 25, representatives of all districts supported the party chairman and demanded punishment for the conspirators. On June 28, the grassroots opinion against the conspirators was expressed at the meeting of the presidium members and they were expelled through the presidium meeting. A purge was conducted in the party, and the party was well-organized.

Among others present at the time were Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader, Co-Chairman Mostazir Rahman Mostafa, Presidium member SM Yasir Ahmed, Vice Chairman Abdur Razzak, and Cultural Secretary Ajmal Hossain Lebu. On July 14, to mark the death anniversary of Jatiya Party founding chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad, the party's chairman, secretary general, and central and local leaders and activists will participate in various day-long events.
