Special commemoration ceremony on the 135th death anniversary of Mahatma Lalon Saiji in Gopalganj

A special commemoration ceremony was organized on the occasion of the 135th death anniversary of Mahatma Lalon Saiji at 5 pm on Friday at the Gopalganj District Shilpakala Academy auditorium with the theme "Simple people worship and see the mind in divine knowledge."
Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Muhammad Kamruzzaman was present as the chief guest at the event. Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman and Executive Officer of the District Council Amit Deb Nath were the special guests. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Salma Parveen presided over the event.
The speakers said in their speeches that the great saint Lalon Saiji's philosophy of life, humanism and simple philosophy still inspire tolerance, equality and love of humanity in society. His songs and ideologies are spreading the message of humanity from generation to generation.
Traditional cultural organizations and renowned Lalon artists of Gopalganj participated in various performances at the event. The audience was moved by their performances of Lalon songs, emotional songs and spiritual music.
The program was organized by the District Administration, Gopalganj, in collaboration with the District Shilpakala Academy, Gopalganj.
The entire event was supervised by District Cultural Officer Farhan Kabir Sifat.
