Teacher beats up eighth grade student in classroom in Kalapara, hospitalized in unconscious state

n Kalapara, Patuakhali, an accusation has been made against Arpan Haldar, a teacher of the business education department, for beating an eighth-grade student named Rumana Akhter (12) for not studying. 
 
The student fell unconscious and was admitted to Kalapara Hospital. The incident took place at Pakhimara Prafulla Bhowmik Secondary School in Nilganj Union of the upazila around 12:30 pm on Thursday.
 
After regaining consciousness, student Rumana said that during class, the teacher asked her to write three questions on Bengali. Although she was able to answer two questions, when she could not answer one, teacher Arpan hit her on the head several times with his hand. As a result, the student lost consciousness. Later, her family members rescued the student and admitted her to Kalapara Hospital.
 
Kalapara Upazila Academic Supervisor Md. Moniruzzaman said, "There is no provision to physically injure any student. Administrative action will be taken subject to investigation."
