
Tk 4 lakh fined to illegal sand traders in mobile court at Fulbari

Fulbari Upazila administration has conducted a mobile court operation to stop illegal sand lifting from the protection barrier on the south side of Fulbari Dharla Bridge in Kurigram.
Fulbari UNO and Executive Magistrate Rehanuma Tarannum took the operation on Monday with members of the police and Ansar. At that time, three tractors were seized for lifting illegal sand from the Dharala river and fined Tk 4 lakh. But due to the delay in paying the fine, the detained tractors were brought to the police station.
In this regard, Fulbari UNO Rehanuma Tarannum said, an organized cycle has long been doing business by illegally lifting the sand of the Dharala river. On Monday evening, a mobile court raid was conducted on Monday evening. At that time, three tractors of the sand were seized and fined Tk 4 lakh. Due to the delay in paying the fine, the tractors were brought to the police station. Later, the detained tractors were released after paying the fine
