Two drug traffickers arrested with 90 Buprenorphine injections in Panchbibi

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-5) has arrested two drug traffickers along with 90 buprenorphine injections from the West Ramchandrapur area under Panchbibi Thana in Joypurhat.
The arrested individuals are Suruj Pramanik (28), son of the late Rafiq Pramanik, and Hiru Mondal (28), son of Jahangir Mondal, both from the Sahebgonj area under Atrai Thana in Naogaon district.
According to a press release from RAB, Suruj and Hiru are identified drug traffickers who collected illegal drugs from border areas and sold them at retail and wholesale levels in various parts of Joypurhat and Naogaon. Based on intelligence, the RAB-5, CPC-3 team had been monitoring their activities for several days before conducting the operation that led to their arrest. In the presence of witnesses, 90 buprenorphine injections and one mobile phone were recovered from their possession.
RAB-5, CPC-3, Joypurhat Camp continues its intelligence operations to apprehend other members of the drug trafficking and consumption syndicate. A case against the arrested individuals is being filed at Panchbibi Thana under the Narcotics Control Act-2018.
