
Two hanging bodies recovered in Lalmonirhat

In two separate incidents, police have recovered the hanging bodies of Saiful Islam (37) and Tushar Chandra Barman (18) in Lalmonirhat. Both were found with signs of hanging from the neck.
The body of college student Tushar Chandra was recovered from the staff quarters of Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital on Monday morning . Around the same time, police also recovered the body of Saiful Islam, a night guard, from a classroom at Harivanga Dorogarpar Government Primary School in Mahendranagar Union, near Lalmonirhat town.
Saiful Islam was a resident of Telipara in Mahendranagar Union and the son of the late Abdul Gafur. He had been working as an office assistant-cum-night guard at the government primary school for the past 11 years and used to stay overnight on school premises.
Tushar Chandra Barman, the other deceased, was a college student from Pirganj Upazila in Rangpur and the son of Paresh Chandra. He had been living with his maternal aunt Konok Rani, a staff nurse at Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital.
Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station OC Mohammad Nurunnabi confirmed that around 9:30 AM, locals informed police after seeing Saiful’s body hanging from a ceiling fan in a classroom. Later, around 11:30 AM, the body of Tushar Chandra was recovered from the hospital staff quarters.
As no complaints were filed by either family, both bodies were released to the respective families after completion of inquest reports.
