Unidentified body recovered from Meghna River in Munshiganj

An unidentified decomposed body of a man was recovered by the River Police from the Meghna River in Gazaria, Munshiganj. The body was found floating near Char Ramzanbeg village in Gazaria Union of the upazila around 12:30 PM on Tuesday.
According to the Gazaria River Police Outpost, locals spotted the body floating in the river around noon and informed the police. Responding to the report, police and coast guard personnel arrived at the scene and recovered the body. Based on its physical condition, it is estimated that the deceased was approximately 50 years old.
Sharjit Kumar Ghosh, In-Charge of the Gazaria River Police Outpost, confirmed the incident and said that the identity of the deceased is yet to be determined. The body has been sent to Munshiganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
