Women will lead beyond national sports arenas to international stages: Bobby Hajjaj

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj on Thursday emphasized the need to increase girls' involvement in sports and cultural activities alongside formal education, stating that Bangladeshi women will eventually expand their leadership and contributions from national sports arenas to international platforms.
He made these remarks as the chief guest at the annual cultural and prize-giving ceremony of Lalmatia Girls' High School and College in Dhaka on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering, State Minister Bobby Hajjaj called on educational institutions to ensure dedicated opportunities and supportive environments for female students across various sports disciplines, including chess, badminton, football, and cricket.
The State Minister assured full institutional support for student sports programs, asking school authorities to inform the ministry if there are shortages regarding sports grounds, coaching, training, or equipment.
Chaired by Lalmatia Girls' High School and College Principal Mohammad Kamruzzaman, the event featured Governing Body President Runa Laila Runa as the special guest, alongside teachers, students, and guardians.
