M Naser Rahman, Member of Parliament for Moulvibazar-3 and member of the BNP National Executive Committee, expressed grave concern over the influx of narcotics, stating that Phencidyl factories have been deliberately established along the Indian border as part of a conspiracy to ruin Bangladesh's youth.

"Such specialized factories are not seen on borders with Pakistan or Nepal," he said. "This is not merely a business enterprise, but a deep-rooted plot to destroy our young generation." He urged law enforcement agencies to work in a more coordinated manner, noting that while small portions of large drug shipments are occasionally seized, the vast majority remains undetected.

He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a view-sharing meeting titled "Controlling the drug and law and order situation with citizens," organized by the district police at Moulvibazar District Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Monday afternoon.

Advocating for systemic reforms, Naser Rahman stressed the critical role of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and police, calling for the establishment of a specialized "Drug Enforcement" wing under the police force to execute targeted operations.

Presiding over the meeting, Sylhet Range DIG Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman warned that no lobbying on behalf of drug offenders or juvenile gang members would be tolerated, asserting that anyone attempting to protect criminals will be treated as an equal partner in the crime. Moulvibazar Superintendent of Police Md. Monirul Islam delivered the welcome address.

District BNP leaders, legal representatives, press club members, and local elites were also present at the discussion, which opened with a documentary highlighting the severe dangers of drug addiction.
