3 killed in tragic three-eay collision in Gazipur

Three people were killed in a collision involving a cattle-laden pickup van, an electric auto-rickshaw, and a bus in the Goalbathan area of Kaliakair upazila along the Dhaka-Tangail highway on Saturday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Alamgir Hossain (30) and Hanif Ali (43), both from Shimulia village in Pakundia, Kishoreganj. The identity of the third victim has not yet been confirmed.
Kaliakair Police Station OC Shahidul Islam confirmed that the accident occurred around 6:30 PM when the Dhaka-bound pickup van—carrying eight cattle from Sirajganj to Kishoreganj—struck an auto-rickshaw before ramming into a bus and crashing into the road divider.
All victims were passengers of the pickup van. Local authorities rushed the injured to the Kaliakair Upazila Health Complex, where doctors pronounced three of them dead upon arrival. Two other injured individuals were transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.
