
36th founding anniversary of Pahari Chhatra Parishad celebrated in Rangamati

Ushaton Talukder, vice-president of the Parbatya Chittagong Jana Sanghati Samiti and former member of parliament, has urged the government to look at the Chittagong Hill Tracts from a deeper perspective and work to solve the problems,
He made this call as the chief guest at a program organized on the occasion of the 36th founding anniversary of the Parbatya Chittagong Hill Tracts Pahari Chhatra Parishad at the Shilpakala Academy auditorium in the city on Tuesday.
At the time, he also said, "Many conspiracies have been and are still going on about the Chittagong Hill Tracts and the people of the hills. The problems of the Chittagong Hill Tracts cannot be solved by suspecting the hill people. He also called for the speedy implementation of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Agreement in the meeting.
The discussion meeting, chaired by Pahari Chhatra Parishad President Nipon Tripura, was also addressed by educationist Shishir Chakma, Adivasi Forum Rangamati Region President Prakriti Ranjan Chakma, student leader Saishanu Marma, Pahari Chhatra Parishad Rangamati District General Secretary Sumitra Chakma, among others.
Earlier, the anniversary celebrations began with the playing of the national anthem and party anthems and the release of balloons.
