A new committee of Bangladesh Pharmacists Forum, a popular organization of pharmacists, has been formed.

A full new committee of Bangladesh Pharmacists Forum, the largest organization of pharmacists in the country, has been elected to ensure the rights of graduate pharmacists in Bangladesh and to establish hospital pharmacies.

In the said committee, Md. Ajibur Rahman was elected as the president and Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Tanveer as the General Secretary and a full committee with 51 members was appointed.

It is to be noted that the general meeting of Bangladesh Pharmacists Forum was held at Pansi Restaurant in Kalabagan, Dhanmondi last Friday, October 11. Some important positions of the executive committee of non-political and non-profit organization Bangladesh Pharmacists Forum were elected through discussion and exchange of views in the said meeting.

Chief Advisor of Bangladesh Pharmacists Forum Md. Aminul Islam, Deputy Managing Director of Biopharma Ltd. Md. Saiful Islam, Senior Pharmacist Md. Belayet Hossain, recent former President Md. Harun R. Rashid and all level leaders of Bangladesh Pharmacists Forum were present in the general meeting, also about 15 Chairman of pharmaceuticals companies, around hundred senior and junior pharmacists from various universities and pharmaceutical companies were present.
Md. Aminul Islam, chief advisor and Md. Harun Or Rashid were elected as advisors in the advisory council of Bangladesh Pharmacists Forum.

In the discussion meeting, the speakers pledged to improve the quality of the health sector in Bangladesh and create employment for pharmacists as well as improve the quality and professional standards of graduate pharmacists through the launch of hospital pharmacy.
