
Bkash account hack : Tk 30 lakh recovered from 30 traders in Monpura

Police have recovered Tk 25,000 from hackers who hacked the bKash account of Mofizul Islam Milon Matabbar, acting general secretary of Upazila BNP in Monpura, Bhola. Officer-in-charge (OC) Saeed Ahmed handed over the money to Mofizul Islam Milon Matabb.
OC also said that he had recovered Rs 6 lakh from the hackers who had hacked the development accounts of 30 traders at different times.
The OC handed over Tk 25,000 recovered from the OC's office to the BNP secretary. Also present at the time was AKM Shahjahan Miah, former secretary of Upazila A-League. Besides, the hacked traders who got back Tk 6 lakh are: Hajirhat Bazar trader and current UP member Md. Jafar's 35 thousand taka, trader Zaman's 11 thousand taka, tea shop trader Rubel's 50 thousand taka, bKash and computer trader Shaheen's 44 thousand taka, trader Nurzaman's 16 thousand Money, RussellJamadar's 50 thousand rupees, businessman Jamal's 60 thousand rupees and other traders.BNP secretary Milon Matabbar and businessmen said, "I gave up hope of the money being hacked in the bKash account." But we are happy to get the money back with the help of OC. Meanwhile, the BNP leader posted on Facebook thanking the OC.
Monpura OC Saeed Ahmed said, a group of hackers hacked the bKash account and took away around Tk 6 lakh from 30 businessmen including the BNP leader. The money recovered from the hackers using information technology has been returned to the businessmen including the BNP leader.
