He made the above remarks as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the National University Inter-College Sports Competition organized by Dinajpur Government College on Saturday afternoon.
The Social Welfare Minister addressed the students and teachers at Dinajpur Government College, saying that this campus is only for students. Students will come to this campus and emerge as educated and knowledgeable. They will be developed as suitable for fulfilling the responsibilities of important positions in the state.
Dr. Zahid said, Durga Puja, the biggest festival of Hindu brothers and sisters, is going to be held in the next few days. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended all-round support to the brothers and sisters of traditional religion in this Durga Puja.
The special guest of the event, State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque, said, "The main goal of the current government is to ensure employment. The government has taken up more and more programs to ensure employment. The government's goal is to provide employment to every household. To make the youth self-reliant by making them skilled through various trainings."
Aminul Haque said, the current government has launched a three-month free freelancing course since taking office. The current government has taken this initiative so that our youth, especially young women, can become self-reliant. So that they can make their families self-reliant while sitting at home. So that they can earn foreign currency while sitting at home. We have already been able to complete two sessions in the last seven months. According to the information we have, in the last six months we have been able to earn foreign currency of over Tk 36 crore.
The State Minister said, the government has a plan to establish a sports village in each district of the country to improve the quality of sports. In addition, a stadium will be built in each upazila of Bangladesh for sports. The activities of these stadiums are ongoing. The government will build a total of 503 stadiums in each upazila of Bangladesh. In addition, the current government has taken the initiative to build a playground in each union of the country.
He said, BKSP plays a big role in bringing together talented players scattered across the country. The Prime Minister has ordered to develop the BKSPs at the district level across the country to standardize them. You also have a BKSP in Dinajpur. The BKSP of Dinajpur will be developed to standard in a very short time.
Dinajpur Government College organized the inaugural ceremony of the National University Inter-College Sports Competition under the chairmanship of National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Amanullah.
