Certificate distribution ceremony after 10-day basic training of Ansar -VDP in Sandwip

After completing the 10-day basic training organized by the office of the Sandwip Upazila Ansar VDP officer, the certificate distribution ceremony was completed among them.
UNO Rigyan Chakma was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony held at Haramiya Union Parishad. Upazila Project Implementation Officer Jamirul Islam, Agricultural Bank Manager Md. Akhtaruzzaman Sujan were present as special guests. Upazila Ansar VDP officer Swapan Kumar Pal presided over the meeting. After the training, 35 people were given certificates and allowances.
The speakers at the ceremony said that Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force are the largest people-oriented and disciplined forces in the country. The largest part of this force is the Village Defense Team “VDP”. Every village in Bangladesh has a male VDP platoon of 32 people and a female VDP platoon of 32 people. Initially, VDP members undergo 10 days of village/ward-based basic training. Later, they will undergo 21 days of weapons training. They will provide information to the local administration to maintain security across the country.
