Coast Guard detained notorious dacoit with 9 fire arms , 29 bombs, 3 local weapons in Hatiya

Bangladesh Coast Guard  has detained notorious dacoit  with nine  local firearms, three  rounds of cartridges, 29 hand bombs, and 3 local weapons at  Hatiya in Noakhali. 
 
 Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-Ul-Haq provided this information in a press release on Friday. 
 
The press release  stated that based on confidential information, it was learned that a significant quantity of firearms and local weapons were stored at the fish market in Banglabazar, Hatiya, Noakhali, belonging to Abu Bakar Siddique, alias Nizam Dakat (45). Acting on this information, a special operation was conducted by the Coast Guard Station Hatiya from 1:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday, 08 August 2025, in the aforementioned area, resulting in the arrest of the notorious Abu Bakar Siddique, alias Nizam Dakat (45).
 
Subsequently, based on the confession of Abu Bakar Siddique, alias Nizam Dakat, a search was conducted at his fish market, "Bismillah Matsya Arat," in the presence of the general secretary of Banglabazar fish market, local representatives, and the public. During the search, 9 local firearms, 2 rounds of live cartridges, 1 round of blank cartridge, 3 local weapons, and 29 hand bombs were seized. The arrested robber, Md. Abu Bakar Siddique, alias Nizam Dakat (45), is a resident of Ramgati Thana in Lakshmipur district.
 
The process of taking legal action against the arrested robber and the seized evidence is underway.
 
The Coast Guard is committed to maintaining the law and order situation in the country.
