Bangladesh Coast Guard has seized illegal foreign liquor worth about Tk 1 lakh in Patenga, Chittagong.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq said this on Sunday in a press release.
The press release said that on the basis of secret news, a special operation was conducted by the Bangladesh Coast Guard Ship Apurba Bangla on Saturday, July 5, 2021, in the area adjacent to Patenga Sea Beach in Chittagong. During the expedition, the area was seized from the area. At that time, the drug traffickers could not be arrested as the presence of the Coast Guard escaped.
The subsequent legal action of seized foreign liquor is under process.
Such campaign will continue in the future by the Bangladesh Coast Guard to keep the country's law and order situation stable, the press release added.
