DC leads awareness rally with bikers to curb noise pollution in Gazipur

The District Administration of Gazipur organized an awareness rally with motorcycle riders and bikers to control noise pollution in the district. The program aimed to raise public awareness about reducing noise pollution, particularly by discouraging unnecessary honking and the use of high-noise exhaust systems.
A discussion meeting with bikers was held at 11:00 am on Wednesday at the Bhawal Conference Hall in Gazipur, organized by the District Administration. The meeting was chaired by Gazipur Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan.
Among those present were Gazipur Superintendent of Police Md. Jasim Uddin, Traffic Police Deputy Commissioner Md. Ashraful Islam, and Assistant Superintendent of Police (Crime) Md. Ashfaquzzaman. Motorcycle riders and bikers from different areas of the district also participated in the meeting.
Speakers at the meeting said that noise pollution in Gazipur is increasing day by day due to unnecessary honking and the use of high-noise exhaust systems.
They emphasized that, alongside enforcement of the law, increasing public awareness is essential to control noise pollution. Motorcycle riders, in particular, must play a responsible role in this regard.
Following the discussion meeting, an awareness rally was held with the participation of bikers, led by Deputy Commissioner Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan. The rally passed through various roads in Gazipur city.
From the rally, people were urged to avoid unnecessary use of horns, refrain from using high-noise exhaust systems, and ride motorcycles safely and responsibly while complying with traffic laws.
Officials from the District Administration and police, along with bikers from different parts of the district, participated in the rally. Through the program, a message of public awareness was conveyed with the goal of making Gazipur free from noise pollution.
