Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam has called upon everyone to work from their respective positions to fulfill the aspirations of the historic July Uprising .

He made this call as the chief guest in a discussion titled ' July Struggle in Memory , Dreams and Commitment ' organized by Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall on Saturday at the auditorium of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall , to mark the second anniversary of the July Uprising .

Prof Dr. Aleya Begum , Provost of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, presided over the program .

On this occasion, various day-long programs were held at the Bangladesh - Kuwait Friendship Hall on Friday.

The programs included ' Open Letter Writing Competition to Martyrs ' , ' July of the Revolution of Treachery ' , ' Looking Back at July ' , and ' Discussion Meeting , Remembrance , Cultural and Prize Distribution Program ' . Dhaka University Pro - Vice Chancellor ( Administration ) Professor Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani attended the evening program organized at the hall auditorium as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners of various competitions .

The function was presided over by the Principal of the Hall , Professor Dr. Mahbuba Sultana , with Proctor Md . Israfil Prang and Assistant Proctor Dr. Md . Rabiul Islam present as special guests . VP of the Hall Sangsad Rafia Rehnuma Hridi , GS Nishita Zaman Niha , AGS Tanzina Tammim Hafsa and Sharmin Akhter Nimmi reminiscing about July . Jyotirmayee Sarkar Urmi , a student of the Hall , conducted the program .

After the discussion and award ceremony , a delightful cultural program was presented . Earlier, on Friday night , July 17 , 2026 , a candlelight vigil and patriotic music were organized in this hall . On July 17, 2024, students of this hall protested against the fascist government by lighting candles .

A discussion and commemorative program titled ' Smritiyte Smriniyte Raktim July ' has been organized at Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall on Saturday. at 7 pm .

On this occasion, Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall initiated a wreath laying ceremony at the July Resistance compound in front of the main building of the hall on July 25. In addition , a photo frame was unveiled to preserve the July Resistance memorial . Later, a discussion meeting , students' recollections and a documentary related to the July Resistance were screened in the hall auditorium . Dhaka University Pro - Vice Chancellor ( Administration ) Professor Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani was present as the chief guest at the event . Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall Principal Professor Dr. Md. Aminul Islam Bhuiyan presided over the event .

On this occasion, a seminar titled ' July Mass Uprising 2024 : Students ' and Public's Aspirations and Future Bangladesh ' will be held at the Faculty's conference room on July 26 at 12:30 pm . The event will be presided over by Dhaka University Pro - Vice Chancellor ( Education ) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam , with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam as the chief guest and Pro - Vice Chancellor ( Admin ) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani , National University Pro - Vice Chancellor Prof Md . Lutfar Rahman and Emeritus Professor of Chemistry Dr. Tajmeri SA Islam as special guests . Emeritus Professor of Physics Dr. AFM Yusuf Haider will present the keynote address.

Shamsun Nahar Hall has organized a quiz competition on the mass uprising at 6 pm tomorrow , July 26 , followed by a documentary screening at 7 pm , a memorial service at 7:05 pm , a poetry recitation at 7:15 pm , a group dance performance at 7:25 pm , and an award ceremony at 7:30 pm .
