Azizul Bepari, a Bangladeshi expatriate in Saudi Arabia, has claimed that he was made an accused in a case while trying to rescue an injured youth named Nazmul Hasan (27) in the Palong School area of Shariatpur Municipality. Azizul made this claim at a press conference on Wednesday morning. The victim, Azizul Bepari, stated that on April 26 in the afternoon, Nazmul Hasan—son of Kashem Vendor—was lying injured in front of his (Azizul’s) house in the Palong School area. Upon receiving the news, Azizul rescued Nazmul and took him to Shariatpur Sadar Hospital. He also alleged that people from Kashem Vendor’s side attacked him during the incident.Later, on April 28, Nazmul’s father, Kashem Vendor, filed a case at the Palong Model Police Station mentioning the names of nine individuals and accusing four to five unidentified persons. The incident has sparked considerable discussion in the local area.Azizul Bepari said, “I had been working abroad in Saudi Arabia for a long time. I recently returned to the country. Now, simply because I took the injured Nazmul to the hospital, I’ve been falsely implicated in a case. I want justice.”Despite several attempts, the plaintiff Kashem Vendor could not be reached for comment. In this regard, OC of Palong Model Police Station, Md. Helal Uddin, said, a case has been filed over the incident and appropriate action will be taken based on the investigation.
