Farmer dies from electrocution in Kurigram

A farmer was electrocuted in Phulbari upazila of Kurigram district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Sattar, 50, son of late Sekendar Ali of Joytindranarayan village in the upazila.
Locals said Sattar went to his banana field around 10 am and he got electrocuted while trying to operate the irrigation pump.
Phulbari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdus Salam said police were sent to the spot.
