
Fruit saplings distributed in Sreenagar

Around 16,000 saplings have been distributed with funding from the Sreenagar Upazila Administration on Wednesday morning.
The distribution program promoting eco-friendly plants was inaugurated at the Upazila Parishad premises by the chief guest, Sreenagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mohin Uddin.
It has been reported that, with the aim of increasing the cultivation and production of local varieties of fruits, different types of saplings—such as mango, black plum, jujube, lemon, and others—were distributed among students of various government and non-government institutions as well as members of underprivileged communities, funded by the Upazila Parishad.
Present on the occasion were Upazila Agriculture Officer Mohsina Jahan Toron, Upazila Engineer Md. Mohiful Islam, heads of various departments of the Upazila Administration, teachers, and students of educational institutions.
