
Human chain by Bangladesh Kindergarten Assoc in Bheramara protesting govt circular

A large human chain was organized by the Bangladesh Kindergarten Association in Bheramara, Kushtia, protesting the circular issued by the Directorate of Primary Education that excludes students of kindergartens and equivalent educational institutions from participating in the Primary Scholarship Examination. The demonstration also demanded an end to such discrimination.
The human chain took place on Wednesday at 10 AM, stretching from the road in front of Bheramara Police Station to Shapla Square, in front of the Bheramara Press Club.
Teachers and students from all kindergarten schools in Bheramara participated in the protest.
Speakers at the event included Bangladesh Kindergarten Association's General Secretary Hasanuzzaman Khasru, and Bheramara Kindergarten Association’s General Secretary Firoz Mahmud, among others.
Hasanuzzaman Khasru, also the Principal of Alhera Model Academy, demanded immediate cancellation of the circular issued by the Directorate of Primary Education. In his speech, he announced that the movement would continue if the circular is not withdrawn.
After the human chain, a memorandum was submitted to Bheramara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rafiqul Islam
