"Technology-based youth power, progress in multilateral partnerships" — International and National Youth Day was celebrated in Tongibari, Munshiganj with this theme in mind. On the occasion of the day, a discussion meeting, youth loan check and certificate distribution ceremony were organized at the Upazila Parishad meeting room on Tuesday noon.
Tongibari UNO Md. Mostafizur Rahman was present as the chief guest at this event, which was jointly organized by the Upazila Administration and the Youth Development Department. Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Shahjahan presided over the event.
Also present at the event were Tongibari Press Club President Md. Mozaffar Hossain, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement representative Md. Zahid Hossain, Upazila Fisheries Officer Nigar Sultana, Tongibari Police Station SI Md. Nizam, Sujan Sangha General Secretary Ibrahim, journalists Titu Chowdhury, Apan Sardar, Jasim Sheikh, Hossain Hawladar, Rabbi Sardar and local dignitaries.
In the discussion, the speakers emphasized on skill development of youth, opportunities for government assistance in creating entrepreneurs and technology-based employment. At the end, youth loan checks were distributed among the selected youth and certificates were distributed among the trained ones.
