Joint district judge's court to be established in Kalapara soon : SC Justice Hasan

Supreme Court Justice JBM Hasan said, 'The Kalapara Chowki Court in Patuakhali is an important court. There are 5600 cases pending in the civil court and 2100 cases in the magistracy. There is a seaport, several thermal power plants and other important government activities here.
A joint district judge's court should be established here soon.'
He said these in his speech as the chief guest while exchanging greetings with lawyers at the Kalapara Chowki Court Bar Building on Saturday morning.
Patuakhali District and Sessions Judge Md. Shahidullah, in his speech as the chief guest at the meeting held under the chairmanship of the chief guest, further said, 'This court should be given special attention without comparing it with other courthouses in the country. There is no alternative to establishing a joint district judge's court here if ports and power plants are to be run.' Justice JBM Hasan said, 'Lawyers and judges are two wings of the same bird. People seeking justice will get justice through their combination.'
Earlier, Justice JBM Hasan arrived at the Kalapara Bar Bhaban after visiting the Kalapara Chowki Court in Patuakhali on Saturday morning and was showered with floral greetings by senior lawyer leaders. Later, he exchanged greetings with the lawyers at the Bar Bhaban. Among others, Patuakhali District and Sessions Judge Md. Shahidullah, Kalapara Chowki Court Lawyers Association President and Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Advocate Khandaker Nasir Uddin spoke at the event.
At that time, Patuakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Morshed Alam, Patuakhali Joint District Judge-1 Parvez Ahmed, Joint District Judge-2 Belal Hossain, Joint District Judge-3 Tarun Bachar, Assistant Judge Matiur Rahman, Kalapara Senior Judicial Magistrate Md. Rabbi Islam Rony, Senior Assistant Judge Mohidul Hasan and practicing lawyers at Kalapara Chowki Court were present.
