Police arrested UP Chairman Aminul Islam (1) after the monthly general meeting of the Upazila Law Enforcement Committee at Saghata in Gaibandha.
Police at the Bonarpara Police Investigation Center arrested him from the council Chattar after the monthly general meeting of Saghata Upazila on Thursday. He was later taken to Saghata police station.
The arrested Aminul Islam is the chairman of the Jumarabari Union Parishad in the upazila. He is the son of the deceased Abdur Rahman of Amdirpara area of the union.
Confirming the matter, Saghata Police Station OC Badsha Alam said, he was arrested by conducting the operation as part of the Operation DevilHant.
